it was a treat to see Teena Marie way back when. There isn't a lot of footage of her near the beginning of her career. She looked wonderful (knowing her past history the way we do now), I just wish we got to hear more of her. Thank you for sharing.

Actually, I think it was The Grammys that chose Bette Davis Eyes over Endless Love.
Can't find it on Youtube, but I'm pretty sure.

I remember this very well, but this was not 1981, it was '82. In his performance, Stevie premiered his then upcoming release THAT GIRL. In this same show, Diana Ross & Lionel Richie sang "Endless Love". We were so sure that song was going to win Song of the Year, but it went to Kim Carnes for "Bette Davis Eyes".
