A news package about the deadly mix of alcohol and high speeds that seems quite prolific in Northern Wisconsin. This package follows Langlade Sheriff deputies Mark Westen and Andrew Tainter, both members of the department's snowmobile patrol unit. Discussed is the statistical correlation between Wisconsin Laws and fatalities when it comes to snowmobiling. Both deputies speak to how the current laws both help and hinder their efforts to keep the trails safe. State Senator Russ Decker discusses his stance on keeping Wisconsin snowmobile laws as they are.

The sixth installment in NewsChannel 7's investigative report on the topic. The station worked along side CBS 2 of Chicago and their award winning reporter, Dave Savini.

Produced at WSAW Newschannel 7 in Wausau, Wisconsin. Written and voiced by Mikel Lauber, photographed and edited by Erik Cieslewicz.
