Here's a short test of the Z.Vex Box of Metal pedal.. Amp in use is a Peavey Bandit combo, clean channel.. Guitar Washburn WV90 CustomShop, EMG etc.. Around 01:20 you can here toggle on/off the "gate"..

Any reassemble of riffs to known song is purely coincidence *lol*

The Z.Vex Box of Metal is extrem as most Z.vex pedals are.. and I don't recommend it with a none-tube amp.. Plug this into a good tube amp and it really shows it's best.

  • Is this a fuzz pedal or a distortion?

  • It's a distortion pedal..

But it's extream in it's controlls and easy to make it sound fuzz-like..

  • If this things shines with a good tube amp, why did you plug it into a peavy?

  • Great pedal for stoner doom, but definately not death metal.

  • Lol no.

A Digitech Death Metal pedal is the most shitty pedal ever.

  • Is that Dark Fortress you're playing at 0:45?

  • sounds good, but if you have a tube just get a "dirty bomb" by barber electronics and if you use a solid state amp try out the "damage control solid metal pedal"

  • \m/

  • sounds heavy but I can't pinpoint the amp that the pedal sounds like. Sounds great post some more up!
