Bob Hartman never liked Greg X Voltz and he didn't want him as lead singer but Greg was called in at the last minute for a concert they were doing and he was so amazing Hartman gave in and let him front the band but they never liked each other. When Greg left and John Schlitt came in. Schlitt had conflicts with Louie Weaver and eventually Weaver was fired as drummer because Schlitt didn't want him there anymore...

I seen Petra live at the Civic Colosseum in Knoxville,Tennessee 1983.I went with the largest youth group in Tennessee at the time.Front row at my very first concert!They rocked!!!I have loved them since i first heard them in 1981...TY 4 sharing,i could not find Petra's music anywhere that i could just open and listen...

@JohnnyDenver2008 was it a situation of Hartman running the band as if it were his to control? Just wondering. Too bad they couldn't fully put aside their differences and simply be a band. But it is hard - you can be a group of 5 friends very easily. But as soon as you call it a band, the infighting starts. lol. I've been there.

@JohnnyDenver2008 greg was so amazing. i couldn't listen to petra after he left but i support them and appreciate them but i just was so amazed by greg and felt the suffered a great loss when he left. but john is great too.

@Jessaysmilexd thats a shame and makes me sad. if the signs were there and no one responded to them, no matter how lost or unsavable people seem to us, they are still worth the time for God. People just don't understand, He uses drug addicts, hookers, theives because once they are saved they become the proof that there truly is a God. sure I know its hard to perceive, hard to know what to say. I am sorry for your loss.
