You should know how to do this! A key survival skill - how to make fire with a stick. A curved stick with a string made from bark...a grooved wooden base with a hole...place a green leave under the hole and put a tiny bit of kindling there. That is where the fire is made! It's magic! The music is by the Trio Tribe of the Amazon, playing a flute made from a deer bone and rubbing on a Turtle Shell. With additional vocals by Phoebe Songbundle

  • WHAT??!! I need an explanation on how you were rubbing the MIDsection of the stick, but the smoke came out of the bottom?! Makes no cents.

  • @foodmunkey

Friction occurs between the BOTTOM of the stick and the

wood base. Charles is not rubbing the mid section- the midsection is

held by a piece of rope wrapped around ithe string. Watch again.

  • wat wood do u use ???????????????????????

  • @dyl011

for the fire stick and base use any non resinous wood.

  • haha nice music, sounds like old school techno :D

Excellent points. I agree. You could also tell those people you do it because "it's cool, I can, and it's a useful form of entertainment, unlike other activities like watching sitcoms and reality shows, playing fantasy computer games, etc....

  • @1TheMusiciansShadow1 he's got another wood or a rock, as long as it's flat, to hold that stick in place. It's not on his hand

  • oh fuck. doesn't that hurt your hand?

  • I do a lot of primitive fire stuff and people always ask "why?" "Why not" I reply. I see lots of people camping that can't get a fire going even with gasoline and newspaper. I believe it teaches you basic skills about tinder, the right kind of wood, and how to prepare it. It's a good thing to know if your a hiker, rafter, or outdoorsy person al together
