@ShinXMega Your outrage is understandable, when someone is brutalized in a violent manner. But the gun, the stick, or parang is ever the solution. When you use a weapon violently against a human being, the violence does not go away, it will manifest itself later in society or against someone else. Singaporeans, or anyone, that believe in or treat human beings in a cruel, degrading and inhumane manner are sadistic sick individuals that should be held accountable for their barbarity.

@jvhjireh The truth will always be revealed as Singapore's dictatorial criminals will not allow international Human Rights groups such as Amnesty International or Human Rights Watch inside Changi (prison/s). Can you maybe guess why? This inhuman brutality mandated by unjust archaic and violent man-made laws is a sick evil epidemic out of control committed by Asian barbarians. They have been allowed to get away with these atrocities, but rest assured their day of reckoning will come.

@rockyboy467 LOL. US jails are paradise...didn't you know?

@butterflye2020 I actually am very much aware of the whole truth. I don't know of any international human rights groups that has ever been within the Singapore prison [prove me wrong, lol]. I also see no reason to discuss this further if you can't grasp points B and D. After all, caning only exists if you break specific laws. So why argue about the harshness of caning unless people *intend* to break it?

@ShinXMega - sadly , thats what america has become a cowboy town where people shoot each other as and when they dislike. Your behaviour is exactly what the american system have failed to change the wild side of americans. Cool down, not everything can be solve with a gun, try using the cane , it works better and in no time , the criminals will mass migrate. try it

@jvhjireh Educate yourself a little more to learn the whole truth; scratch beneath the surface, just a little. You will find, just as all international human rights groups have found, is that the government of this police state has tortured thousands and thousands of males--and has gotten away with it. You must also make yourself aware of the discriminatory, unjust, and unequal laws that exist against the male gender.
Learn about the coldblooded sickness that has infected a society.

@butterflye2020 Thanks for the reply. I finally took time to read the link in the description as well and this is what I ended up with: (a) caning is indeed *very* harsh; (b) a form of punishment, which means you can completely avoid it. Not to mention, not all acts result in caning; (c) jail caning is different from school caning; and (d) the mentality of Singapore government - observable in their military - is that deterrence is the favored solution. I guess the crime rate speaks for itself.

@ginawilson4242 - you daughter of a prostitue or son of a gay, your ass must have been raped by man so many times that you always like to support least punishment for the rapist, molester, drug courier. I really hope you will end up with some sort of crime and we will see how you will like to forgive or give lenient punishment to the criminal who rape you. Well , honey, I will make sure to pee & shit inside your dirty asshole.

@jvhjireh Everyone does not use the word "torture" only those that know what it is use it. Singaporeans do not even understand the concept and are afraid to ever admit that the government is guilty of such acts--but they are.
There are two different issuese being discussed: one involving children, teenagers etc, and the other involving the judicial sentencing of adult males. The common thread however is extreme violence and deliberate physical assault against a human being.
