Though written for ages 3 - 8, Ceana Has CP is a book all children will love. It will teach them about disabilities of all kinds in a loving and fun way.

The genesis of this book came as a result of the C. Fran Card's inability to find a good picture book for children dealing with Cerebral Palsy. Card wanted to find a book that would help her grandaughter, born with CP, to learn about her disorder and prepare her to talk about it when she started school.

Card was not able to find a childrens picture book dealing with CP and thus decided to write a book just for Ceana. 'Ceana Has CP' is a true story that shows what Ceana looks like and how she acts in her daily life. It is a fun book that teaches children that even though they may be different from others in some ways, they are still a child who laughs, plays and loves her friends, family and pets just like they do.

Teachers have been using the book as a valuable tool in their classrooms.

People these days use "CP" as foul language without even knowing what it really means, God knows I'm one of those people. I'm truly sorry for my ignorance, and I'm going to try and learn from it instead of being one of those who walk blindly, knowing nothing of the world behind them.
