@bullet50000 If you had managed to get past the other 4 levels of Anti piracy... 1. Trying to play on a international system. 2. Initial Piracy warning on startup. 3. Enemys in certain areas can be multiplied dramatically. 4. Random errors of checksum that could cause crashes. 5. Finally the last boss, when this error happens, the error triggers what is called a "crowbar" circuit within the cartridge that opens the circuit to the internal battery, thus losing the saved games.

And now you have 60,000 views. LOOOL!

@princessZelda089 Pretty much.

you shouldn't have done that...

So Giygas just pulled a Doctor Who and a Keine Kamishirasawa?
Screwing up time and eating history.
-
@1xCloudStrifex1 Yes, unfortunately. :c That's why we have shit like SecuRom that won't uninstall unless you format your hard drive.
Then every so often, you see a game company get... creative with the antipiracy. Like this. There's also a cruel one in the DS version of Michael Jackson The Experience where it plays vuvuzelas over the music, and Batman: Arkham Asylum won't let you glide.
@Niko1Linni But think of it this way. In the game world Giygas is real. If you imagine the world of EarthBound is 'real' in the sense of it being a self-contained game universe... then Giygas just pulled a Doctor Who and erased Ness' journey from that world's timeline. He erased Ness and everything else from history and undid those events and everything leading to it. To you it's a save game, to them it's a whole lifetime, gone.
Now imagine that in real life. Fridge Horror in 3, 2, 1...
