*STEREO*. Dick Dale & The Del-Tones play "Surfin' Rebel", from 1964. Great sound.

  • what style is this? and what are some more artists like this. and maybe with vocals?

  • I'd call this surf music, either with or without vocals.

  • spacepatrolman is RIGHT-ON !! This one is from the 1964 LP "Summer Surf". Yes .. lovely 'twangy' emphasis on this track .. and that PIANO in-back all thru - superb !! And there's that backing vocal "aaahhh" there again !! AND that cherry beat + melody !! Plus .. Lovely masterful chord change, mid-song. One of my all-time DD faves, this one has it all. Sir Basil does it yet again folks - outstanding posting !!

  • Thanks colin. Yes, this one's a corker, especially like it when the backing vocals first come in at 0:38.

  • @crosmyheartnhopeudie Look up for "Los Detectives" /losdetectivessurf if you check on myspace and also look up for "Sr. Bikini", and there's some good surf to enjoy.
