How fucking dare you, that man is a legend of every single caliber, he literally has more talent in his pinky finger than you have and will ever achieve, rant ended.

Eh, I'd say it's more a PSA against getting involved with charlatan Svengali types (i.e. Landy). Brian did drugs, no doubt, but he also had mental and emotional problems that existed within him before the drugs, and it was the pseudo-therapist Landy that really helped destroy him.

THIS IS THE BEST INTERVIEW I HAVE EVER SEEN! He's out there in a very good way! What he says makes perfect sense! I think he gave the interviewer much more than he asked for!

the documentary from which this clip is excerpted is filled with 90+-year-old people who could barely utter a complete sentence, and yet brian wilson is easily the most incomprehensible among any of the people featured. lol at the "how fucking dare you" comment above.

anyway the performance clip toward the end is great.

    I completely agree with you.

In fact, I still believe he himself could've actually Topped 'Pet Sounds' had he had the confidence in himself.

A wonderful musician and human being

I said nothing about his talent, I just stated what I observed, and then you start a condescending attack on a person you don't know (me). The man was a genius songwriter, but his brain became heavily damaged through his and other's actions. I feel bad about laughing but I mostly feel sorry for him.

Oh really? Then why did Leonard Bernstein say that "Brian Wilson is one of the singular most important composers of the post war era". He single handedly created the 'self contained' rock group that wrote and produced it's own music, from which legions of rock groups form The Beatles to Steely Dan own a profound debt of gratitude. George Martin himself said he was profoundly influenced by Brian Wilson's recording inventions.
