I also want to add you have to roll the Cavit up in a tiny ball and apply gently to the tooth with the hole. You MUST wet down the tooth before applying it. Then after it is applied, you should drink water to help it seal and harden. Don't eat anything for at least 3 hours after or it will just possibly come right out since it's not hardened yet

Your tips are great but another tip. I went to the dentist for a root canal a while back and overheard the dentist saying she was putting "Cavit" in my tooth to protect the root canal since I couldn't afford to get the crown yet on the same day. It was 850$ just for the root canal. It is a temporary material and it works far better than the stuff at Walgreen's. Found Cavit on Ebay and have been using it to refill my tooth when it starts to wear down and it works like a charm!

Good God !! your DYS Tips is a dentist's worst nightmare, in my own ways I Fix my Cavities by stuffing it with Sterilized Cotton pieces followed by a dab or two of Crazy Glue to form a waterproof fiberglass-like shell that'll last for years, the pain will eventually go away (aprox 18 hours or less) with the help of over the Counter antibiotics.

You can also pick up zinc oxide on ebay cheep. Planning to give this a shot. I've had 2 fillings for years, first one fell out and only a couple weeks after getting it replaced, the second fell out. They are fairly big but we'll see.

Theoretically, but the amount of zinc you'd have to ingest makes it unlikely. It takes about 100 - 300 mg per day to see copper defishency, much more to be fatal.
@thekamloopian How's the pike fishing up there? I live in Michigan, USA, and I was thinking about making a trip because I've heard of all the good fishing in Canada... Sorry to bother you with a subject that is so OFF-subject of your upload.

@ceeloshady3 Jack fish (Northern Pikes are good in Alberta, colder the water the better. Catch their bigger brothers Muskies out Ontario way. Where I'm at it's all trout and salmon.

Well....I've got all the right ingredients, mixed them together and tried to roll them into ball. No such such. The stuff is sticky and won't roll. Am I doing something wrong?

@VsyeNikiRazobrali You just need to mix more of the zinc oxide powder in. Make it on a small plate or saucer and use the back of a teaspoon to mix it up. It is a little challenging but it will work.

hah might do what you do, im only 17 and ive had so much work needed to me done on my teeth, there soooo weak and the dentists can never numb me and when they go to drill at me it hurt so bad and im petrified.. despite this ive been waiting since october '10 for treatment.. and its now may'11 -.- very annoying! infact one of my teeth that needs extracted is practically half gone with the ammount of times its been drilled at. -.-

@SugarPlumCheese Weak enamel sucks. There is another type of freezing that is one of the few that works on me. It is an injection type works good. The laser dentistry is pretty much painless, can't do root canals and the like, but for regular fillings it is good.
