L'immagine finale, un cammello che, accasciato sulle zampe anteriori, non riesce a tirarsi su né a sdraiarsi, suggerisce l'idea di un'impossibilità tanto alla vita quanto ad una morte consolatrice. Il più piccolo dei nani ne contempla l'agonia rinnovando un risolino meccanico, isterico, alterato da convulsioni e pause. Tocca a lui, testimone fino a quel momento dell'idea per cui «c'è sempre qualcuno più piccolo », trasformare il messaggio in: «c'é sempre qualcuno più debole».
