Timpanic MemBRAIN is a highly theatrical percussion ensemble piece for four percussionists and one standard set of timpani. It's not too difficult (approximately a grade 4+ piece) and has lots of room for improvisation and stylistic alterations.
This piece was written by Ryan R. Laney in 2008 and premiered at the University of Northern Colorado by members of the UNC Percussion Studio. It is available through R. Laney Percussion.
