Michael March 2007

Here is some footage of my son Michael, who is 7.5 and has autism. I set up the camera to record while attached to the computer- so Michael can see himself. That's probably why he is making funny faces.

At one point I left the room and left the camera running. Michael is watching tv, singing songs, pretending to use the phone and talking about the walk we took earlier. We were behind the Kmart that closed and the road has a big barrier that says "closed- do not enter". Michael also talks about "Chance" coming in. Chance is our cat who got thrown outside today :)

Wow, the progress Michael has made from the video of him at 4 with the Dora book to this video is amazing. Gives me so much hope for Jade!

That is exactly why I post videos of my son. I have some more to do- major stimming and not being social at all- it's like he's a totally different kid now.  Good luck with Jade! never give up!

Jade is getting better all the time! Only 3 1/2, so we have a way to go yet. Funny how they are all so different. Jade doesn't stim (unless she is getting yeasty) and is pretty social, but has such trouble with communication. Ever since we began biomed almost a yr ago, she has been back in "our" world, and smiling! You don't realize how beautiful that smile is until it is gone...
