Maverick is a 23 month old Standard Schnauzer that graduated from the Neuman K-9 Academy pet dog obedience training program. The program covered off-leash commands such as sit, down, heel, sit + stay, down + stay, recall, and etiquette (no jumping up or barging through doors). nice work but your camera man/woman needs some training. from :57 to almost 3:00 the pans and zooms made the video difficult to watch.

Using emotion and emphasis on the release "OKAY!" helps the dog differentiate normal conversation from the release. Also, we return to the dog before releasing them from a sit/down stay to eliminate them from anticipating release or hearing the release word in conversation.

Beautiful dog! I see he's very well trained also! Our dog is getting there but so far she is not as good as Maverick yet.

He is training a Standard Schnauzer here. The Miniature Schnauzer is a different breed altogether, and yes, they come in white. The Standard Schnauzer does not: just pepper & salt, and black, sorry.
