Star Wars: The Old Republic Space Combat Demonstration

REVIEW: Overall, as you can see, the Space Combat is a Starfox 64 style rail shooter. Which is disappointing for those of us expecting something out of X-Wing Alliance, or the Rogue Squadron games. Most of us were expecting a more free roaming space combat system.

Mostly though, it works, and it works well. I mean, Starfox is fun, right??!?! :D That, and I understand not making it free-roaming, because teaching someone to play an MMO is hard, and sometimes un-intuitive for the end user. Free roaming space combat could be disasterous in teaching that to new MMO players.

Am I disappointed it's not like X-Wing Alliance? A bit. But it works. And it's FUN. 'Cause ain't that why we play games in the first place?

Reminds me of Lego Star Wars :/ . Definatly could have made it better, they shoulden't have made it all on that one path thing. How long did it take for you to get a ship?

@CHOSENMARINE you get the ship after you finish the class story quests on your capital world. Dromund Kaas for the Empire, and Coruscant for the Republic.
