RULING COALITION'S GAMPAHA HEAD OFFICE OPENED
Posted on 04 August 2011.

The ruling Coalition's Gampaha Headquarters located in the town was declared open today. It is the first District Headquarters building of the Freedom Alliance. The opening of the United People's Freedom Alliance's Headquarters of the Gampaha District, which is planned to be converted into the hub in the march towards making Sri Lanka the "Asia's Wonder," took place under the patronage of President Rajapaksa. This Head Office has been built under the guidance of Minister Basil Rajapaksa equipped with all facilities and in a village friendly environment, setting an example to the country. It is located at Orutota Road in Gampaha. The Office has been established with the purpose of sorting out socio-cultural and political issues.

The political leadership including Parliamentarians of the Gampaha District led by Minister Basil Rajapaksa along with the staff will be dedicated to serving the public. Electricity is supplied to this office through solar power conserving energy.

This solar power machine is also being used for home gardening. The President also inspected the home gardening. It is being launched under the "Divi Neguma" programme. The Office also has a systematic programme to store rain water. The Building also has an open air theatre to upgrade cultural activities and a fully equipped auditorium. It is the first District Office of the United People's Freedom Alliance. This Head Office will also be a fitting example to make the Mahinda Chinthana Extended Version of the President a reality within the Gampaha District. As in the case of "Uthuru Wasanthaya" and the Eastern Resurgence, the "Gampaha Udanaya" has already sprung throughout every corner of the District. Present at the opening ceremony were many Parliamentarians as well as a large gathering of the laity and the clergy.
