Accually due to them being at that pass was the reason they were able to kill so many, in the thousands to be exact 20 thousand. They were to buy time as they evacuated athens. after they got through the 300 there were 6000 waiting. But due to being on open ground they got slaughtered. They got to athens, no one was there, they burned it down. The real push back was when greece beat them in the water. Killed massive amounts of ships that held much of there army.

the "300 against a million" is BS, but it is a cool movie visually. Don't expect a butt-load of truth though.

more or less expectations are raised because of these trailors. therefore this movie will most likely to end up as a piece of shit to viewers.
