Page's guitar tone is awesome. Really fuckin' heavy.

I saw them on this tour back in 92 opening for Faith no More (I was 16). It still remains one of the most powerful shows I've seen.

this must be an early version of the song, probably hadnt been recorded yet. They werent quite finshed writing it. The version on the record is different. This is like the skeleton. the jam skeleton. yeah, man...

yeah there are many songs they played live but still worked on until the album recording, once they were released on the album I think they rarely (or never?) played them differently live.
There are a lot of pre-Meantime song versions aswell, which have different vocals and song structures (He Feels Bad, FBLAII, Better..).

funny you say that, I can think of one song that is different, it's Pure, the intro is different on Aftertaste that for exemple the Live one at NPA on youtube

They always played (and still play) Pure like that, the album version has a rather silent moody intro probably just as an intro to the album. The interesting thing is, on the first demo mix of Aftertaste, "Insatiable" was the first song and had the same moody intro, while Pure was the last song and had that louder "live" intro.
