  • Great style but: try to avoid visual noise, and use less dls

  • @Tobelli visual noise? and whats dls mean?

  • @tramlaw1106 The constant and nervous riffling of the deck is "visual noise" a concept introduced by Aaron Fisher in his paper engine. you should know what DL stands for.

  • @Tobelli ahhh i wasnt reading it right, but no i dont do anything out of nervousness, i honestly do that so my decks dont bow or bend a certain way, and the dl is like the best thing since slice bread and alot of things revolve around it so i dont see why i wouldnt wanna do them. but as far as the visual noise things goes i shall def look into it, i have that book and its been a while since ive read through it. thanks for the input! :)

  • @tramlaw1106 “ Nor should the dl be a plaything with which to show your skill with cards; it cannot be emphasized too strongly that it is a secret subterfuge which should be used only as a legitimate sleight with which to obtain results not otherwise possible. The conjurer who makes a series of DL -and believes that the average spectator will not reason out what is being done grossly underrates the intelligence of laymen.

  • @tramlaw1106 under such conditions, the pack would be handled simply and naturally, without ostentation. The performer who constantly riffles the ends of the pack, who rushes through his feats as thought Belzebub were hard on his heels, whose movements are quick and jerky, is defeated before he starts, for his spectators always are conscious of the fact that he is employing sleight of hand, his every action betrays this fact.

  • @DTSmagick well i kind of stopped performing for a little while, but now ive been doing more and more, actual performances instead of performing for just the camera, but expect alot of content very soon, going to try to make it a video a week of different effects and reactions and stuff, mainly building for a websit so i have sufficient content

  • Dude, that was awesome! Very good performance :) How often will you upload your videos? I like them :)
