Jeff is a very under-rated and brilliant player,and retuning does so much to vary the possibilities,dropping those two bottom strings does a huge amount for fatness and originality,as do pitch shifters,I also use both(retuning and pitch shifting)on occassion

Me ,I'd like to know about his delay around 3:27 is this analog delay?and his effect around 5:27 is this an octaver or octavia kind of thing...it's a killer tone he's got!
