@jaie888 action movie fx on the apple store can be used to create video fx and can be further saved to the camera roll to be later edited on a pc or mac as for sounds there are endless amounts of sound fx apps hope this helps ;)

@GamingLord007 The iPad actually does have a silent mode if you change what the orientation lock switch does in the settings but that's a good point about the iPod touches.

In regards to blocking calls or text from specific numbers, it should be carrier specific. For example, Sprint allows you to do this from your Sprint.com account.
