Excerpt of Antje Duvekot's appearance on Mostly Rock 'N Roll with interview segments and the song Pearls, filmed in the studio at Shrewsbury Media Connection in 2006.
Yeah, I guess I'm just used to artists switching things up in live versions. In general, I prefer the Big Dream Boulevard version, but I love them all.
Well, I'm talking about how she says "send a little grace" repeatedly at the end instead of "it's the least that you could do." Some of the melodies are a little different too. I don't know, I just notice little things. I'm not saying I don't like it AT ALL...EVER...I was just wondering why it's different.
I bet she hates censorship but still had to do it, like the Rolling Stones. The difference in version might just be because when she was on the show, it was just her, so she couldn't have backup vocals or extra instrumentation.
Did she have to change the "motherfucking" for TV or something, because I thought she hated censorship? This version's different too but it can't be an early version because it's from a year after Boys, Flowers, Miles was released. Somebody help me.
Beautiful writing.

Woman knows her way around a lyric. Truly a brilliant writer. I believe we've been sent a little grace, for which I give thanks.
Thanks, Antje. Looking forward to all of the yet-to-be songs.
