  • Keeley suggests to put the compressor AFTER your main overdrive. But what if your main overdrive is the overdrive of the amp? How can you put the compressor AFTER the distortion of your amp?

  • @Dedalusalley - Don't worry about it. Just put the compressor in front. People have been doing it for decades. Everything will be good, we promise.

  • just buy a tuner comps are lame.

  • @jhump2431 - I think you're confused about what compressors do.....or you're confused about what tuners do.

  • How come the Keeley two knob wasn't used as the comparison? It's my understanding that Keeley makes the four knob compressor for humbuckers and the two knob for single coils. Love the demos ......

  • The Two-Knob and Four-Knob Compressor are the same exact pedal. The Two-Knob has the same controls as the Four, but you have to use internal trim pots to make some of the adjustments. With the Four-Knobber the controls are placed conveniently on the outside of the box.

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos that made me lol.

  • @Dedalusalley or run it thru the effects loop.. if you have one

  • Maybe I should clean my ears, but I think the Keeley sounded better with the Strat. While the Rothwell sounds better with the Tele. Of course as a bass player I would prefer the Keeley with the extra knobs to control the output level. When I used to play electric guitar I always used compressors with chorus, it was heavenly. It works well with delay as well due to the fact that you have a more balanced signal that is re..re...repeated. I also used it after overdrive in the effects loop. ;)

  • is that Basterds of the Young? must be.

  • @roroproduction compression is the point of a compression pedal.

  • I like the Carl Martin the best. I guess it comes down to what a person likes and how they want their sound compressed. To me the Carl Martin is the most studio like when compared to these two.

  • 2:20 TAKE ME OUT!!!

  • @jhump2431 Ok, Homer

  • @jhump2431 duh!

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos This is a really late comment, but I think he was meaning, you don't need pedals except for a tuner. hahaha
