hmm, my take on Johnny is that he knows he's capable of being loved, but he can't recriprocate without violence.. He said he could have been a doctor, but something must have happened when he was younger so he rages all the time in frustration. He's holding himself back from success and barely holding onto the love of an ex-girlfriend who wants to love him, but she's grown tired of his antics. Sophie is yet another one of his pawns.
