The Song "Why"...? is sung by Nichole Nordemand. It answers the question "Why Did Jesus Die?

Jesus paid for the sins of the whole world. John said in his first epistle that Christ died, not for our sins only, (the sins of believers who follow Christ), but for the sins of the whole world. (1 John 2:2)

Basically, the reason Jesus had to die for our sins was so that we could be forgiven and go to be with the Lord. Jesus is God in flesh (John 1:1,14; Col. 2:9) and only God can satisfy the Law requirements of a perfect life and perfect sacrifice that cleanses us of our sins. All people have sinned against God. But, God is infinitely holy and righteous. He must punish the sinner, the Law breaker. If He didn't, then His law is not law for there is no law that is a law without a punishment. The punishment for breaking the Law is death, separation from God. Therefore, we sinners need a way to escape the righteous judgment of God.

Since we are stained by sin and cannot keep the Law of God, then the only one who could do what we cannot is God Himself. That is why Jesus is God in flesh. He is both divine and human. He was made under the Law (Gal. 4:5-6) and He fulfilled it perfectly.

Therefore, His sacrifice to God the Father on our behalf is of infinite value and is sufficient to cleanse all people from their sins and undo the offense to God.

Some scriptures to study:

Rom. 1:18, "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness."

Matt. 25:46, "And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

Rom. 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24, "and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed."

John 1:1,14, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God....14And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth."

  • Who do I ask for forgiveness and pray to and worship? I`m confused, do I pray to God The Father?, or do I Pray to the Lord Jesus? do I worship both?

  • @nGxBliiTzKrieG You pray to both. you ask forgiveness, pray and worship both!. Jesus said in John 14:14, "If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it." Also know that Jesus also interceeds with us, reference Romans 8:34: "Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died--more than that, who was raised to life--is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us". Also read John 17:6-11

  • Jesus Christ died for our sins. Let us all love him till death, accept Jesus in your heart and soul and you will be changed forever. My fellow Christians, give Jesus the love that he deserves.

  • Jesus you will always be my only hero, my savior, my refuge,my one and only Lord Jesus Christ. , Please forgive me for all the times Ive strayed away from you. Now, I will follow you until the end of time.

    I love you!

  • God Himself was more hurt by His death than any of us.....even though He knew Jesus would come back 3 days later, it still didn't stop God from hurting. Just like any other parent, it would still hurt them to see there child suffer, even if they know they'd be OK in the end.....but it's sad that not a lot of people even appreciate what Jesus did.
