I wanted to build a clean-looking, portable, high quality sound system that I can can bring to beach or the rivier. I built this last summer. It contains a Sony receiver/CD/MP3/Radio, 6.5" Polk Audio mid and high components, Sony 10" Subwoofer, 760 watt amp, 128 Amp hour Deep Cycle Battery with a 4" fan blowing directly on the amp and dual 2" exhaust ports . I just added LED lights to flash with the bass. It also has a removable marine cover to keep the sand out of the cd slot when I'm out at the beach. Has enough room to fit a seperate vinyl cooler within that can only fit 8 cans. I have a large Marine/RV battery because I wanted it to last a long time. I ran for 18 hours without charging with no sign of power loss. The next one I build will be in a 100 quart cooler to hold more drinks.

  • This isn't even close to high quality, in fact sony's are the lowest of the low quality, get your facts straights, but looks cool.

  • @DJSOUTHSIDEBEATS A few of my design constraints is that I didn't want to spend more than $300 (including the deep cycle battery) and I wanted it to last for a minimum 8 hrs at a certain level. Portable High quality sound is relative. I agree that Sony brand isn't the best (it was donated, free), but the set up I have with the 6.5" Polk Audios are certainly better than any portable boombox on the shelf. I would have bought one if that is the case.

  • @DragonWagon6 Good luck with that. Hiding behind the computer is exactly why you easily have diarrhea of the mouth. Toying with you is quite humorous to me because I can tell how angry you get. Lets keep this going...

  • Ive been reppin two sony explodes for 3 years in my car and used them b4 that in my house and bought them used, they still work amazing, its all in how you treat your speakers.

  • @DragonWagon6 Walmart is probably above your level. Just because I'm not uneducated doesn't mean I can't own you. Its easy to be a coward and hide behind comments on YouTube when you know that nothing can be done about it. You are part of the whats wrong in this world. You are obviously trying to over compensate for something. If you are a child, it makes sense and I'll give you a little bit of slack for your ignorance. If you are an adult you should be ashamed of yourself.

  • @DragonWagon6 Learn how to speak proper English and people MIGHT consider your thoughts as being legitimate. Working at Walmart might be the best career option for you.
