Judging by the poor quality of the VIDEO i'd say the AUDIO is par for the course! You can have the best amp in the world and it won't matter if the recording quality sucks!

Ampeg is much better for me,i have both of the amps..but hartke still sounds great..but for me i like the over all sound of me ampeg..thats for me..:)

I think the cheap camcorder has too much treble, the cabs are probably pretty good.

Great playing, meh sound. He sounded much better on Ampeg and I'm not even an Ampeg fan. I hope he moves away from Hartke soon. The funny part? I actually own and like two Hartke HyDrive cabs but Vic just doesn't sound good through them.

@smelling010 may be the microphone, otherwise just pull it down in the EQ.
It's way better to cut frequencys than to boost them.

@kevteop It makes sense that if you are one of the best then you use the best. I dont think it has anything to do with money. I managed to buy some of my most expensive gear when i was earning shit money and pretty broke. When there's a will to have good gear to use you always find a way. working hard and saving.

Anyone who rips on a veteran bassist that has accomplished SO MUCH in his time... I've really got to wonder who these people are. Who are YOU and where are YOU in your career?? But of course it is also very easy to bullshit your way through an internet forum or blog.
