Due out March 1st, Rift is a very promising new MMORPG that Lewis is looking forward to. Here's some footage from the last Beta testing weekend!

  • The Yogscast are and always have been magnificent, but not everyone has to share their taste in games... personally I hate Rift, am completely uninterested in WoW and love LOTR, but watching them praise Rift, get completely addicted into WoW and taking a piss on LOTR is still fun.

  • @TheXboxSux WoW clone..... *siiiiiiiggghhhh*

  • @TheEnzoshow orin bancro?

  • omg its fenrich "All is for my lord"

  • at 10:45 the guy in the right has the exact same name as me.

  • @theBIGreekgeek Probably this year. 2013 looks like the year for Defiance (the FPSMMO).

  • @Wienerschnitzelchen Yup. They've admitted they like Rift and what it brings, they just don't enjoy it enough to get into it themselves. It's a common view of Rift, and I respect it.

  • @Creaturecreator76 Rift punched it. TOR smacked it around. WoW is now all sad and killing itself. Nothing will kill WoW (even GW2) other that Blizzard/Activision/their owners and investors themselves.

(Rift is doing fine but won't ever be truly HUGE. It's always getting better though, with many players)

(TOR is a nice base game but needs to work hard on retaining players. It could still keep many though, we'll see)

    (GW2 looks amazing fun)

  • @dragonred4000 In these games, especially in Rift's design, the main zone questing is just to give you a feel for things for 1-3 months of gameplay (depending on how much time per week you put into MMOs), then more challenging gameplay comes afterward. Rift now has plenty of that challenging content, while also occasionally adds simpler questing content for casual players.

  • @dragonred4000 Often it is the end game that people enjoy. For example WoW's raid, pvp and heroics, which people enjoy spending hours to achive better gear and the feeling you have achived something :)

  • how are mmos fun when all they do is send you to do fetch quest....
