Fuller Park in Ann Arbor is flooded by the Huron River. So are local riverside golf courses - large carp can be seen swimming in areas that are normally dry land. Fishermen - complete amateurs like me, fly fishermen and pole fishermen too are having fun catching these fish. Saw the largest snapping turtle ever while fishing here yesterday. Its head was as big as my two fists together.
Any experienced carp fisherman knows what I did wrong: I should have cast out the bait and just let it sit in a likely spot. But nooo, I kept moving from spot to spot. LOL - on me. ;-)
Orientation: the row of trees in the early part blocks view of the surging river. The open water in the last part is actually a flooded gravel road.
