Julia Child (1912-2004) was interviewed for three hours in Cambridge, MA for the Archive of American Television. Child discussed her first television show "The French Chef" created in 1962 for Boston's PBS station WGBH which was on the air until 1973. In b-roll, Ms. Child also presented some of her favorite cooking utensils and appliances. The interview was conducted by Michael Rosen on June 25, 1999.

  • I just saw the movie - Meryl is totally annoying - like hearing fingers down a blackboard. Julia's voice is lower and much less annoying. It is a shame, as Julia is such an inspiration.

  • Absolutely! I love how she is so pure and has so much passion for something she loves. :) I remembering watching her shows when I was little b/c my mom watched her all the time.
