They released his contract in 07 but I really think he wanted out himself, I seriously doubt he couldn't come back as popular as that no talent Cena is now, Scotty would fit right in with their current themes. He must have made a good amount of cash on his last contract because he lives in Florida now, has year passes to Disney world and has been married for 13 years. He does the occasional small venue matches but I doubt he has to.
