@marijamayhem , I hate arguing with people that don't know the facts and are too stubborn to look it up. Egg binding occurs more commonly in smaller birds and if you love your bird and knew all the facts you would take her to an avian vet immediately if she's been straining to lay an egg after an hour. If the egg is trapped for too long it can and will damage nerves in the oviduct and put pressure on vital organs.

And there are no bones being broken, it's trapped in the oviduct.
