Hippo, I believe the serious line of Taylors begin with the 300 Series, so yes I believe it is well worth it. My 314ce is my work horse. It takes a beating playing 2-3 gigs every week etc. I also have 3 other Taylors, a Nylon NS34, 12 String 354ce and my old 1988 Taylor 610 Dreadnought, which I had Taylor refurbish and put the ES pickup system into it. But the 314 gets most of the work.

@billmcgoldrick1234 do you think it is worth the extra price from the 214ce? :O
-
@paulvenkman oh, didn't look at it right, you rest your capo on the head of the guitar when you don't use it? :D cool
-
The silver object at the end of my guitar is called a Capo.

Pardon me asking, but what is that thing clipped-on the guitar's head , in line to it's neck, stretching outwards ? I've also seen this on electric guitars ...
-
@klasse2bub That's not a number
-
@meangreen4321 Yeah, if u play infront of 500000 thousand people.
-
@meangreen4321 The 314ce is good enough for most requirements.

Do you think its worth laying down the extra $1000 + dollars for an 800 series Taylor?
Very Nice, I also have a Taylor 314CE and I love it.

I just bought this exact guitar and LOVE it. The neck just feels perfect in my hands. It comes with the Expression system which captures the true sound of your guitar when plugged in.
