I was obsessed with this show as a kid, but now I honestly can't stand it. It's soooooo baaaaaad, which is very depressing to me cuz it's the show that got me into Spider-Man :(

Yes it ran from 94 to 98 but has probably been shown from the start more then once.

Yeah having super powers and fighting super villains is soooo realistic. To me it was amazing and I respect your opinion of not liking it. Ever heard of everyone has different taste? :p Besides I like Spiderman TAS & Spectacular.

Well, Batman TAS and Animaniacs are two examples of cartoons that still hold up today, and it's mostly because of excellent writing.

I think it's okay actually. I mean if you look at most cartoons from your childhood, they all pretty much suck in a way. Mostly because of their lack of ''realism'' we're used to now as adults, and the lack of sense. However, I still watch many of the cartoons of the good ol' days. mostly for the nostalgic value, but damn, some cartoons can actually actually very entertaining.

It's kind of obvious that they would be shown more than once, not to mentions that it had to be French dubbed in your case, which might also be the reason it was aired way later.

Yeah, I guess that's a lesson for us all to learn. To never judge a book by it's cover. I was the same way at first as well.

I mean Ultimate Spider-man has better art, but that's about the only good thing it has going for it.

I totally understand. When I first saw this show, I was like, "What's up with the animation"? See, I was a teenager at the time, and I was tired of seeing all these comic book reboot shows like "The Batman" and the new "TMNT". But then I went to babysit my little cousin, and they were watching the Season 1 finale with Venom. The action, voice acting, the fast animation, and the heart put into that show blew my mind, and I was hooked. It's Marvel's answer to Batman TAS...and they cancelled it :(

I agree that Spectacular is a good show, but there are people that dislike it. The majority of them dislike it simply because they don't like the art(which they often mix up with animation) It makes me think this show spoiled them with it's more detailed designs and now they seem to care more about art than the story aspects.

These people also don't seem to understand that while this show had more detailed art it came at a price.

Well I think all true Spider-Man fans can agree that Spectacular Spider-Man is by far the best (it's fucking perfect) spidey show (better than the movies as well) of all time. I think Ultimate Spider-Man sucks the most because it has no respect for the characters, and it's just trying to cash in on the Avengers and other marvel characters, but I think I actually prefer the 60s show to this one. That one was bad, but it was made in the 60s, so it has an excuse
