Sheesh. Although this game has great graphics,. the makers obviously did not do enough research on the military since the servicemen getting off the C47 transport in this vid are wearing both Lieutenant's bars and Sergeant's chevrons, which is impossible in any military.

@CameronHotspurs He had no choice...he has to follow the emperor's orders. Hirohito ordered all japanese soldiers to surrender...though some refused and stayed in forest until the 1980's thinking the war wasn't over yet xD

they fucked up this game

someone is getting laid tonight...

@darkyoda, the japanese public had no idea how bad the war was until the end, all the way through 45' broadcasrs were claiming in single battles sinking like 8 carriers and downing 1000 aircraft. Even after the nukes, some japanese did not want to surrender, in fact a group of 1000 attacked the emperor, not only that, but without the nukes an invasion wouldve cost around 2 million more lives than the nukes

The Japanese soldier would rather have died than surrender and hand over his Katana and Pistol.

@darkyoda A misleading interpretation of the USBS. It was Japan's own internal power struggles between the military heads and politicians that stifled full unconditional surrender prior to the use of the atomic bombs. It's right there in the report. A case of the right hand and the left hand not being on the same page....a real disaster for Japan's military campaign in the end. The use of the atomic bomb as a show of strength to Russia is just conspiracy theorist rhetoric.

@razorfett147 The US Strategic Bombing Survey reveals that the Japanese began peace feelers shortly after their defeat at Midway in April, '42. The Japanese figured they had 16 months from Pearl Harbor to beat the US, without one setback. Midway was the setback that guaranteed their eventual surrender. Peace feelers continued through '42, '43 and '44, when the blood was really flowing in the Pacific. They tried through the Soviets, the British and the Siamese.

@darkyoda And what history books support your statement? Give me multiple sources.
-
@razorfett147 No. The nukes were brought in only to make a point to the Soviets. Even history books acknowledge this since Japan actually tried to surrender several times prior to this. In fact, they attempted to surrender after Midway but the US refused to accept the terms of surrender.
was that the japanese guy from the japanese campaign?
