  • all you guys are fucking idiots!!!

a 302 is not just a 289 with more bore..

why dont all of you learn more about your shi before you tell someone what to go with..

and for stang129 why would you think a 302 is way better than a 289? because you watch to much youtube? obviously none of you know how to buiild an engine... or you wouldnt say that shit

  • 289 and 302 are same block different crank. I know my stuff. I built the 408 in that mustang myself. I know my shit, thanks

  • can someone help me. i cant decide if i want to put a 289 or a 302 in my mustang. what are the pros and cons of both? thanks

  • should just got with the 302 same exact block as the 289 but more cubic inches

  • The block for a ford 289, 302, 331 and 247 are all the same. The diffrence in gains that you will see are minor between the 289 and 302. The stroke lengt is the same between the two and the main diffrance is .030 over in the cylinders...very minor changes,

Because a 289 and 302 are so simular there are no cons but you mat get slight preformance increase with a 302.

  • go with a 302 or a 347 its way better than a 289

see all

  • @stang129 Dont forget when going to a 5.0 over a 289 you have a full roller motor vs a tappet

  • you only ran a 12.7 with a 408 stroker ?!

  • so if you know your shit why are you telling him a 302 is better than a 289?

its all about the setup man.. 289's are tuff ass little engines.. btw nice stang i have a 65 i am restoring at the moment..

  • 289, 302, 331 and 347 are ALL the same block. The piston stroke gets longer for as the cu-in go up and the cylinders are bored out around .06. For the strokers 331 and 347 since the rod length and stroke get longer you get much more torque.
