  • proud owner of this violin... mine is Navy blue

  • I just got my 130 out of layaway, for a christmas/birthday present that i've been waiting to get forever, definitely worth the money.

  • Are most electric violins expensive?

I was thinkng about getting one, but the one thing that has stopped is the price.

  • @ironhawk10000 hmm i am not sure. I mean, I only had to pay for half of it :P My parents paid for the other half so i was fine with it lol. But you could most definitely find ways around getting the 130 package.

  • @TeraCMusic ya but is it reaally worth the extra 400$? u should probably have a bow but if not a pretty good one is 130 and a great case for 110 then maybe rosin for 5 and if u really need great headphones 100$.. even though u probalby already have a pair. all those ( a great case good bow rosin and great headphones) would be about 345 or u could pay a bit more for some mediocre ok equipment.. idk im just cheap like that :P

  • @ironhawk10000 really? As long as you have a decent bow, you should be fine. The one that came with mine seems to be okay. I guess the quality of the bow does not do much to the sound of the electric. I have tried using my John Paul Legacy bow on my electric, but it barely makes a difference lol. The headphones are not the best, that is true. I like the case just cause I don't take it anywhere, it stays in my room lol. And I use this jade rosin that I got with my acoustic. :)

  • @93jgamer btw if ur considering getting an electric violin especially the sv-130 try to get a really good violin but only the instrument itself because the headphones good rosin bow and case are all shit

the bow is crap and maybe not even brasilwood the headphones will be plastic drugstore dolar bin headphones the case... is not THAT bad but its still something that u dont want to carry your 130 in and the rosin WILL fall apart and break if it is not already when u get it

  • @TeraCMusic i actually ordered one from the guy marisafrogk is talking about...its yinfente and its a chinese company...i was scared like you about it being so cheap but i got a six string for about 170 and so far its really good of course its not a Mark Wood electric violin but for its price its actually not to shabby

  • @TeraCMusic ya your right lol. but they would be good starter electrics, right? or would it be better to buy a 700 dollar instrument right off the bat?

  • @93jgamer You have to be careful, though. Those electrics that are under $100 will lack in the good electric quality. The piezo pickup will be cheaper and the material will be flimsy. You just have to know that you will get what you pay for-- a lower-quality electric violin.
