don't support any pet store that sells live animals. even well-bred puppies shouldn't be in pet stores, htye should be in proper homes where they are treated as pets, NOT 'stock'.

Most dogs from puppy mills are in pet shops and not usually in kennels

I used to work in a pet store like that before I knew about puppy mills and pet stores! NEVER believe when they say they're not from puppy mills.

These kind of stores just need to supply pet supplies and pet supplies only, not actual pets. I look at petland, petsmart, and any other pet store differently now. I hope to convince people not to buy pets from these kind of stores. this really has opened my eyes, Thank you HSUS for all you do, You are Guardian angels to the animals. We need more people like this in this world.

Don't write off ALL stores that have live animals available. The Petsmarts in my area have cat kennels that are maintained by local verified 501(c)3 non-profit rescue groups to adopt rescued cats out of. They're a FANTASTIC resource for the rescues, and I hope this trend catches on everywhere! The rescue group I work with pulls cats from our local overcrowded shelter, which is helping make an actual dent in the euth rates there.

I heard that petland kills kitten especially the baby kitten that is a shame for petland to do this I always knew that something suspicious was going on there.

I worked for the one in Alpharetta, Georgia. Every puppy that were brought to the store had a laundry list of health issues that properly bred dogs would never have suffered. Grade 2 Lux patellas and crippling hip problems was just one common issue. I gave PetLand the benefit of a doubt. I was wrong. I quit.
