I did this with my church in Seattle a while ago. Great experience.

This is a great thing! I can understand the reason for the city not wanting just anybody to feed the homeless; food-borne illness, etc. As long as the food is prepared in a proper kitchen, I don't see a problem. Permits shouldn't be hard to obtain.
Doubtful that the city just wants to be mean or that the businesses nearby are afraid of losing business. Just my opinion.

hey man, do we get a reward if we turn these homeless feeders in..? look at what they are doin'.. they are feedin' the homeless which "could" take business away from businesses that pay taxes.. wow, what a dream.. I dreamed they were arrestin' people for their generosity and human kindness.. whew, I'm glad it was just a dream..

I pray God blesses all that offer their services to the homeless. I was often at the meals offered by "angels" from the churches that served us under this bridge. I was at a low point in life. The words of encouragement to get out of the abusive relationship I was in saved my life. I am now raising my nephew, in college, have my own two bedroom home, and a job. You never know who is listening....so keep telling them about God....and the life they can find through HIM!!!
