  • I instal my first linux distribution last week. Mostly because I mess up my Win XP for a while and I decided that having a backup OS on my D/ drive. Is not such a bad idea after all. Even if I had no idea on what I was getting into the reason I did it anyway was that we got so many tutorial on how make the transition. Now if only I could get my kubuntu OS to start reading what on my C/drive.

  • Kubuntu should be able to read your Windows partition by default. It's only tricky the other way around. For that you will need third party software like "explore2fs", for example.

  • Hey David, thx for the comment! As soon as I got some free time, I will make another vid with all the beryl effects. This one was meant to be like a commercial for Linux...also, I was playing around with the screencap proggy. (First time I used it)

  • very nice video... i have a few questions though

i was wondering if you could put a video up of how to download/install ubuntu onto a windows computer. then how to install windows xp as second OS and install wine to use windows apps on ubuntu haha... i know it might sound a lot but i'd love that type of video :)

  • Hey how do you do the cube effect?

  • Would have been nice to see some more extensive effects, although your text screens make this video the most informative XGL/Beryl video I've seen yet!
