@dlan1500 Yes the childcare rebate is a stupid thing. People should not have children if the mother is not at home to bring up her own kids. However our greedy society has evolved to a dual income mess. The the prime cause of that are the inept politicians from all sides who continue to fund negative gearing (higher housing prices) and turn families into wage slaves.

I dont care much about the ordinary politicians we have today. All the hard reforms was done in the 80s and early 90s. Howard did have his socialist benefits as well, $5000 baby bonus or as Gerry Harvey said " LCD Bonus", childcare rebate, hand outs for parents with school children, First home buyers grants.
