The abnormal appearance of the nasal tissue is due largely to the marked reactive change and remodeling within the turbinate core of these nasal tissues. There is active mixed inflammation in most areas but in some areas there are predominantly large numbers of neutrophils. Changes are consistent with a chronic inflammatory process. Fungal plaques were not seen. Aspergillus AGID was negative. Epistaxis resolved on its own after 7 to 10 days. No other symptoms have arisen.
