Isn't it strange that here in 2009, nobody really knows Ozzie Nelson anymore. His son Ricky is becoming a distant memory too. Sad.

Ozzie Nelson was no great singer, but Harriet Hilliard had a beautiful voice and was the "girl singer" in Ozzie's band. Remember the beautiful voice of Ricky Nelson - maybe he got his genes from his Mother, Harriet - no Ozzie Nelson who COULD NOT SING.....

I never saw O&H when I was growing up in the 60's and 70's. Now with DVDs my whole family now enjoys the Nelsons including my 10 and 8 year olds. We can watch a clean, funny, family show together. Shrewd guy was that Ozzie.
