  • @drumulater sounds like a really cool venue!!

  • This Renfrew Ferry place is a great venue. I've been there twice, and everybody I know should check it out. The bands are actually floating on the water, inside of a ferry boat situated on the Clyde estuary river.. what?. When you walk towards the stage, you feel as if you are walking or sliding downhill towards it. It's fun to go upstairs and get a beer from the bar and stand on a sort of balcony, looking right down on the the band, fantastic experience.

  • @paulmcelroy1969 Ha, ha...thats no ordinary "off the shelf" Yamaha TRB bass Paul. Those high end Yamaha's are hand built in Japan and retail for well into the £2000 - £3000's.

  • I like jazz fusion and I like DiMeola and Greg Howe,Pat Martino,I have wanted to learn to like Allan Holdsworth.I tried really I did.

  • thank you very much for these posts. great to see Allan back for this tour. what a monster musician he is and what a gent.

  • WATER ON THE BRAIN... a challenge for every rhythm section! Well... not for the AH trio!

  • hahahahahah priceless paul

  • Thanks for adding. I'm from Dublin and I flew to Manchester for one night to see him last Friday. It was unreal. Cheers again.

  • My money's on the Gallien Krueger. Plus, the ferry has a Funktion One PA system which is un-rivalled!!!

Was at this gig on Thurs....absolutely awesome stuff. Pure musicianship and no large ego's too. Pick any guitarist or drummer and they probably still couldn't lace these guys' boots!

  • Cracking solo from Ernest Tibbs. How does he manage to get his Yamaha sounding so good? When I play mine it just sounds like Cilla Black farting.
