The Glee Club gives us geeky, uncool, neurotic, egotistical people; sure they're wild exaggerations, but we recognise they're a caricature of our imperfections and insecurities magnified to comic proportions.

But there's an underlying assumption maybe you haven't noticed...

  • I think you (like most people) over annalyse why people watch certain shows.

You remind me when I was at school and we had to find the "hidden meanings"why authors wrote, what they wrote.

I met this Maori Author (who shall remani nameless) and they said they just wanted to write a good sorie they had and never intended people to find""hidden meanings" . The person felt sorry for us being forced to do this.

Ever hought people watch things for pure entertainment?

  • @rugbyman1 Hey man, some good thoughts there indeed. I could take a wild guess at which Author too I reckon.

I would suggest that everyone who 'writes a good story' does inject hidden meaning, regardless whether they intend to or not. We all have our biases and bug-bears; people and groups we (often unwittingly) blame for 'the way life is'. When we write what we may believe to be a benign story or Glee script, we load it with our concerns. Well, that's just what I think anyways.

    Cheers :)

  • Do they call it "The Glee Club" outside the US?

    It's just "Glee" here...

  • @ewhitsma Yeah it quickly became just Glee here too. I shot the comment as the first episode premiered about a year ago, before the world had decided on a one word title for sure :).

  • Wow.... because I totally just searched for this video because I wanted some Australian asshole talking at me about the show itself.

  • @noahgadea Cheers for your opinion dude. Call me an asshole if you like, but not Australian - I'm a Kiwi (New Zealander). Try reading the title and description - it doesn't say 'music video', does it?

  • i really loved the history of glee but i am didn't liked the atitud who has rachel an the most important thing is LOVE FINN (L) (L)(L)(L)

  • If you look at the story of Glee, its just like us. Our culture is full of searching for something to fill us. Rachel and Finn always have relationship issues, the thing is - they are looking for someone to define who they are, when they break up, they do not know who they are anymore. They get confused of who they love. We see this happen everywhere we go in life. How then do we learn how to have healthy relationships because everyone is doing it?

  • wasn't listenin to the kiwi

  • OH SWEET ITS THE MUSIC VIDEO YESSSSS *few seconds later just when it starts getting AWESOME* *Kiwi out of nowhere* OH hello!

  • I just wish the good old days of season 1 came back. Now, I'm starting to tear up. The kids just grown up so much, and now it's the end of season 2. It felt like season 2 was just starting. Glee and Kurt will always be my favorite things, and a big part of my childhood. It just felt as if they were singing Don't Stop Believing. Oh, how fast time flies.

  • we want to se glee not u!!!!!!!
