CNN Anchor Nicole Lapin recently named Damien De Clerck among CNN's "Young People Who Rock," a segment on people under 30 doing extraordinary work. De Clerck, 25, was recognized for his work as a Program Coordinator, planning and leading medical missions in Africa with Operation Smile.
Damien's parents, Yves and Dominique De Clerck, are longtime supporters and medical volunteers for Operation Smile. Collectively, the De Clerck family has served on over 40 medical missions, providing free cleft lip and cleft palate surgery for children around the world suffering from facial deformities.
