WCW in 1997 and early 1998 was the best ever. It degraded really fast. I think I call the degrade to bottom when they had the whole Scott Stiener double cross thing.

liquidgold-Not to be rude but I think you have that backwards. WWE is crap WCW had great talent and the wrestlers really liked their job. Vince is only after money,he doesn't care about the fans,or even his wrestlers. WCW/Ted Turner cared about the fans,and the wrestlers. I think if vince hadn't been so scared of WCW that company still might be around. TNA/Impact is becoming big. and they have alot of great talent too.

The # 1 reason why WWF eventually conquered WCW. WORKRATE, if you look at attitude era matches and ppv's and compare the spots, workrates, the selling, storytelling, and actual actions being performed throughout the match, you can tell those WWF guys was doing it for the people, not for some money, not for some "ego boost" or anything like that, they loved their craft. WCW just looked like a bunch a guys, ego'd up, chillin in the ring not really attempting to work.

Bret Hart was used so poorly in WCW. He was almost like what Kane is today in WWE one minute he's a Heel next a Face he was just randomly turned. One minute he is feuding with Sting as a heel and then in 2 weeks they turn him Face so he can team with Hogan. Then randomly turned heel and then Face like they do with Kane. It's like lets turn Kane face this week so we can reunite the Brothers of Destruction on Smackdown.
