@wackify443 You dont have to be afraid because you will not feel a thing. You probably wont even remember the surgery. The videos you see of actual surgeries are way less disturbing than they look. When its over you go into a recovery room and they give you medication for pain. Dont worry. You will be happier when you do it. I wont tell you that there is not discomfort week following the surgery, but its nothing like you are probably imagining. Be like Nike and Just do it! :)

@Erick39Mia You look great. I believe I have this too and I still need to have my eyes checked. I am hoping to have the surgery done and I am glad you are showing us your results!

NO PAIN AT ALL
-
@sevmac Yea it's annoying. People tell me "Don''t worry about what others think of you." but it's really hard to ignore something that you know is always there. They just say that cause they're not the ones with the problem. We are. I hope one day you and I, and anyone else with this problem can be cured so we can have a normal life.

@254Wacolion Believe me bro, I am in the same situation as you :( . It's really not fair to have eyes like this but one day we will all be healed once we get the surgery.

I really want to get this surgery, but I can't cause I'm not able to get insurance and we can't afford to pay for it ourselves. :( I've had Strabismus all my life, and it really lowers my confidence. It's hard for me to have a normal conversation with someone cause I'm too worried that they will just keep looking at my eye, and not pay attention to what I'm saying. I'm also to embarrassed to take pictures, at least when it involves looking straight into a camera.

Did You Have Insurance? And How much would it be if you didnt have insurance

@204gerardo Yes I have insurance and it covered it. It basically starts at about 7000 to 30000 depending on the condition.

Did your doctor ever tell you these things it's not guaranteed?

@TGG778 Yes he did. Several times. Your brain tends to try to send your eyes back to the position before the surgery. But if your eyes work well together, you will probably maintain the alignment.

How long does it take for you to heal that? For some it takes 6 weeks
TGG778 8 months ago
@TGG778 Six weeks is possible. Everyone will experience different healing times. I am diabetic and we heal very slowly from almost anything. My healing time was about 2 months. After 4 months I would say most of the redness and almost all of the swelling was gone. People without diabetes will probably fall within the six to eight timeframe.
