Here's a little anime stuff for y'all.

MY OPINION on FMA vs FMA:B

While FMA:B is a better anime, it not as good a choice as FMA for a brand new anime watcher due to better characterization and slower world building for people who are not familiar with any anime tropes whatsoever. FMA:B is low on characterization in the first 15 episodes and will lose someone who is not familiar.

For beginners I totally recommend Death Note. It is finished (26 chapters or so), it has an awesome plot, characters personalities develop quickly... and when you finish watching it you will want more. Also, I think that never is too late to start watching an anime or reading a manga, you will eventually catch up with the current chapters since you will watch up to 5 or 10 episodes a day (if you really enjoy it) and they release one every week or every 2 weeks usually.
